Answers:
Check the expiration date but it should be for about 5 days or longer or until it starts looking sick or discolored!. I would not want to wait to long to cook itWww@FoodAQ@Com

Unopened it is fine for a week and quite frankly probably longer being as it is a cured meat, once opened I would go 5 days at the most, it will start to discolor!. If it is smoked, of course, you've got a longer shelf life!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I had kept bacon in my fridge for up to a month, in the crisper department!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

As long as it is sealed, it will last days, or even a week or two, as it is already cooked in the processing !.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If its unopened it will keep up to the date it says on the packaging, if its opened, 2-3 days after opening!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pre packaged kind!? I keep for up to two weeks in meat drawer of fridge and remove it when I need it!. Bacon is smoked and the process of curing it makes the fresh meat last longer!. It can also be frozen!. I keep some on hand there for cooking beans or adding to some dishes for boost of smokey flavor, bagging up into usable portions before frozen!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

when I buy a package, I wait till I open it then I cook what I wanted then I wrap 2 pieces at a time in plastic wrap and freeze them, that way you take out what you want and leave the rest frozen, it will keep indefinatly!.!.!. Toss the frozen pieces into a pan and fry'em up!.!.!. adds only a minute to your cooking time!.!.!.!.works great!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

even uncured bacon will last a couple of weeks in the fridge!. Cured bacon - the normal kind - is designed to last a long time!. That's why they cure it!. Pioneers used to carry it with them unrefrigerated as they traveled west and it was a staple of miners!. They didn't have refrigerators!.

That bacon was more heavily cured then today, but you get my point!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
