Answers:
Bread toasts faster based on its sugar content!.

White bread often gets a bad rap but it has egg and milk and brown breads quite often are brown because of molasses and not because of the wheat or lack of wheat in it!.

Low sugar breads that take longer to toast - english muffins, rye bread for example have less sugar!.

I am not sure why people answer questions when they are just guessing!.

I heard of a study where rats were fed white bread or wheat bread!. The white bread had egg and milk and the rats thrived!. The wheat bread - well the rats had regular bowel movements but were not very healthy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would think because the bread is darker!. It reaches the temperature of the toaster faster!?!?!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

2 possible reasons!.
1-- the bread of the wheat starts out darker so you just think it has reached the "perfect" toasty color!.
2--The wheat may have less moisture to begin with so there is less to dry out during the toasting process!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

because of the sugar content in w/wheat bread it has gr sugar bronw sugar and molasses it also thats why it bronw fasterWww@FoodAQ@Com
