When I was in Japan, the hotel offered either traditional or Western style breakfast!. Wanting to immerse myself in the culture, I ordered traditional!.

A Bento box arrived with several different types of pickled vegetables, rice, tofu strips and a large purple thing I never identified!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Abroad I have had churros many times, which are a bit like doughnuts but much nicer - very naughty though, especially for breakfast!
