Martha Stewart says to burn a candle nearby to burn the vapors, but I never found it to work!.

Of course, if you're cutting a LOT of onions at a time, you're going to cry regardless, but the first tip of refrigerating will work for a couple of onions!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Put the onion in the freezer a few mins!. before chopping, or stick your head in the freezer when your eyes start welling up, like as to appear like you are looking for something!. This is what I do!.!.!.!.seriously!.!.!.don't laugh!.!.!.i heard it on the food network!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

When I used to wear contacts, it was no problem but now, I have to peel my onions, then soak them in ice cold water for about 15 minutes!. It helps tremendously!Www@FoodAQ@Com
