Eating out or cooking own food?!
I am a bachelor of 42 years ,and here is the age-ol question I'm sure has been asked many times!.
Is it cheaper to eat-out every night, or do my own cooking!? I think eating out is cheaper!.!. ( have you priced groceries lately!?)
For one meal , by the time you buy the main entree and all the prep spices, and side dishes one could have eaten for a lot less!.
What do you guys think!?

It's CHEAPER, but not necessarily healthier!.
If you're single and the meal involves only 1 person, then it's definitely cheaper to eat out whether lunch or dinner!. You save money on buying the food/ingredients, preparation time, and most of all, clean-up time!. In addition, you don't have to worry about food spoilage!.
However, the money you save from eating meals alone is lost to the healthiness of the food!. If you eat at home, you're saving yourself from the over usage of oil, salt, sugar, etc!. Plus, usually restaurants give you larger portions to eat than you normally would when at home, which usually leads one to eating more!.
It's a trade-off!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Obviously to do your own cooking!.
For example, you can roast a chicken ($6) with the veggies right in the roaster - potatoes ($1), carrots (!.50), a sliced onion (!.30), with very simple seasonings and little hassle - just stick it all in the oven!. So for around $8 you have supper for at least two days (depending upon your appetite)!.
You can do the same thing with a small roast beef or roast pork!.
You don't need to give up a lot of time - but you'll be eating way healthier and saving money, too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i agree with the others!. get your pantry together!. go and spend about $150 at the grocery, and get canned goods, frozen veggies, rice, seasonings etc!.!.!. after that you can concentrate on your fresh ingredients!. it is a no brainier not to pay to eat that crap fast food sells!. you might as well smoke 2 packs of cigarettes a day!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Honey it is always better to cook your own food!. You know what's in it, you can control your portions, and it is cheaper!. If you shop sensibly for a weeks worth of meals you will see that just saving the gas to get to those food outlets will benefit you!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
