Question: How long are fruit and vegatable purees good for if they are frozen!?
I have a bunch of pureed vegatables in the freezer that I mix in my daughter's food!. How long would you say they are good for!? It doesn't say how long they are good in the book that I got the recipes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

~*~ According to the wholesome baby site, baby food purees should be kept no longer than 3 months in the freezer if they are in a regular plastic bag!. If they are vacuum sealed then longer but a pain when you just want to grab one out!.

I always used a sharpie and put a USE BY DATE on the bags when I put the baby foods into the freezer so that I could keep track of them!.

After that date, while I would not feed them to the baby, I would use them for the other members in the family!. I used the fruit purees for fruit smoothies and the vegetable purees were great to mix into a spaghetti sauce or into any savory dish!.
