What's the difference between Jam and Jelly ?!


Question: What's the difference between Jam and Jelly !?
Or is there any difference!? Because like !.!.Do more people in england call in jam!?

Jam is chunky, whatever fruit was used (say blackberry) there bits of blackberry in it, even the seeds are still there!. And it's not as thick!.
Jelly is smooth and a bit thicker than jam!. There are big pieces of fruit still in it or seeds or anything like that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Jam has bits of fruit in it and ussually comes in a squeeze jar because it isnt as thick!.
Jelly has much bigger peices of fruit and seeds and is more thick!. It isnt as easy to spread!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

In the UK and Australia we call Fruit Conserve & Spreads - Jam and Gelatinous desserts - Jelly!. In the US they call Jam - Jelly!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Jam is made from the whole fruit, while jelly is made only the juice!. :) usually extracted through a seive!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
