Why was Wednesday spaghetti day and not Sunday?!
Answers:
Long ago, when some chores took the better part of the day, before the invention of the labor saving appliances we have now like washers and dryers, most housewifes had certain days set aside for certain chores!. A common routine was;
Monday: Wash Day
Tuesday: Ironing Day
Wednesday: Sewing and Mending Day
Thursday: Market Day
Friday: Cleaning Day
Saturday: Baking Day
Sunday: Day of Rest
Since Thursday was market day, Wednesday's dinner was something simple that didn't take a lot of ingredients as supplies would be low, so spaghetti was a common Wednesday meal!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
