How to use my Rice Cooker?!

Question: How to use my Rice Cooker!?
I have a ricer cooker, but the whole thing is in Japanese!. My family got it from a neighbor (Japanese) who was moving so we never got instructions on how to use it! It's a Hitachi brand

There's a dial with an: Off button, on button and then a series of numbers 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12

Above the dial are three lights with the labels:
timer
rice cook
warm

how do I know how long to put the rice on for!?/Use this machine in general!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
my guess

2,4,6,,,are linked to 'timer' for reservation!. For example, if you put rice/water at 10 pm and set it to 8, in the next morning at 6 am rice is cooked!. Every Japanese rice cookers have such function!.

'rice cook' to start cooking!. while cooking the light is on!. probably スタートor炊飯in Japanese

'warm' light will be on after cooking and keep it warm!. I think this is 保温 in Japanese!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

put one cup of your fav!. rice!.!. basmati is my fav!.!. and 2 cups of water a bit of salt and butter/marge which ever you prefer and select rice cook!.!. the timer goes with the numbers for cooking other things such as veggies!.!.the rice cook will cook rice to perfection or at least it should!.!. :PWww@FoodAQ@Com
