Frozen, mixed berries are a great start!. They are full of nutrients, low in calories, and they naturally produce their own sauce when thawed!. Fresh berries are great, but frozen give you that great juice to use as a sauce!.
Buy an angel food cake (very low in cals and fat, compared with other cakes)!. Slice it and spoon on the thawed frozen berries and their juices!. top with reduced fat whipped cream and a big berry with a little more juice!.
You can sprinkle around fresh berries too, but that's optional!.
I also like frozen berries with low fat plain yogurt!. Stir some splenda into the yogurt, then spoon on some thawed berries and juice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Oh, and stay away from adding artificial sweeteners to any dessert you make even if you are a diabetic, studies have shown that they are worse for your health than regular sugar eaten in moderation!. I am a Type II diabetic and this was told to me by both my doctor and my nutritionist!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Any dessert can be healthy if you modify it!.
For example using less sugar, butter or lard!.
Fruit desserts are always healthy!. Or you can opt for fat free ice cream - steer clear of rich cream filled desserts (such as cheese cake, gateaux)Www@FoodAQ@Com
