A simple question about cheese?!

Question: A simple question about cheese!?
Hopefully I'm not the only chef 'wanna-be' who has problems with this:

Is there a simpler way to slice cheese without it constantly sticking to your knife blade!?

Thanks,

Answers:
Yup!.

Go to a depatment store with some nice kitchen accessories - and look for a cheese slicer that slices by wire!. Mine works like a dream!. It goes through the cheese straight and true!. Without all the surface drag of a knife sticking to the cheese - it makes kitchen work with cheese much easier!.

(Mine's marble based and ran me $20!.00! You can find less expensive ones!.)

They make different knives for different cheeses!.

But if you don't have them, dip the knife in very hot water before slicing the cheese!.

( dip and wipe before slicing)!.
Forgot to add that!.

heres what they look like

It is best to cut cheese while it is still chilled!. This helps keep cut lines clean and makes it easier to handle!.
A chef's knife works well for most cheeses!. However, hard cheeses, such as Parmesan, cut better when brought to room temperature!.
Score the wax or rind before you begin!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

A simple way until you can get a cheese-slicer is to use a piece of fine, clean fishing line (10 lb test is good)!. It will cut cleanly and easily through a chunk of cheese!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can try buying a cheese knife!. It is made just for that reason!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

stick the cheese in the freezer for 20 minutes before cuttingWww@FoodAQ@Com
