Answers:
If you bought it at your supermarket butcher they gased the meat before they packed it so it would stay bright red longer!. If the experation date hasn't passed, AND the discolorations don't have any green tinges to it!. Your totally fine!. The blood naturally discolors over time!. Not to mention if its gone bad the smell would be horrific!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is probably fine - is there an expiration date on the package!?
I'm not sure what causes the dark spots, I think it's exposure to air!. But I've eaten steaks, ground beef, etc, where parts of the meat are darker colored, but not past the expiration date - it's fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Supermarkets put a gas in the packet to make the steak look red as it looks more appealing!. If you go to a traditional butchers the good quality meat will have hung and matured and look brown- this will be the most tender!. Shouldn't smell funky though!Www@FoodAQ@Com

It will be fine its just where the meat has pressed against the packaging !.!.!.this can cause the meat to look offWww@FoodAQ@Com

It is perfectly alright!. The best steaks are darkest, means they have been hung the longest!. It is just blood settling!. Eat it and stop worrying!Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, its fine to eat!.!.!.!.this is just where the meat has been resting!.!.!.!.you would know if it was bad as it would smell awful!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

unless it smells bad it will be fine !
the discolouration is down to the Blood !Www@FoodAQ@Com

its probably just dicoulared where it has been lying in the pack, nothing at all to worry aboutWww@FoodAQ@Com

omg
have you ever seen the movie poltergeist
sounds like that
ya its badWww@FoodAQ@Com

The darker the better!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

good colour it means it will be more tender than bright redWww@FoodAQ@Com

It's just from being exposed to the air!.!.!.as long as it does not smell funky and is not really really sticky you are fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i'd bring it back if i was you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
