Will a pineapple ripen all by itself after it is off the tree?!

Question: Will a pineapple ripen all by itself after it is off the tree!?
Answers:
sorry everyone, it's not true!. pineapples are picked at their most ripe state!. they actually lose their sweetness the older they get!. if you've never been to hawaii and had a truly fresh pineapple you probably wouldn't know the difference but it's true!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It should!. Smell the bottom!. When it smells like a pineapple its ripe!. Or you can try and pull the inner most leaf and if it pulls out with ease its ready to eat!. enjoy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

First off, pineapples dont grow on trees, they ARE the tree!. And yes, you pull the inner most leaf off and if it comes out easy it is ripe!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
