Why does orange juice give me the worst heartburn out of anything I eat or drink?!

Question: Why does orange juice give me the worst heartburn out of anything I eat or drink!?
Answers:
For the same reason we don't use citrus juice as eyedrops!. It is extremely high in acid!. You can, of course, buy reduced acid orange juice which has a much lower Ph level but it tastes more like orange-flavored water!.
You might consider drinking your orange juice with a milk chaser!. Milk is a base and will neutralize the acid on contact!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is because of the high level of acid that is in it!. I use to get heartburn really bad when I was pregnant but I love OJ and pineapple juice!. The best way to deal with it and still be able to drink OJ is to drink more water on a daily basisWww@FoodAQ@Com

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! It used to happen to me, too!!

Difference is - - - -NO juice made from concentrate!. It HAS to be pure with pulp!. Otherwise, not only do I get hearburn, I also burp it up like "puke" in my mouth all day!. (sorry, gross)

OJ has a lot for acid!.!.!.you could be hyper sensitive to it!.!.!.or you produce a lot of digestive acids already!.!.!.If you tend to have heart burn (2 times a week) you might think of taking an acid reducer!.!.!.(or get your gall bladder checked)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think Tropicana has low acid variety; otherwise try Tums, Rolaids, Mylanta, Maalox or Gaviscon!.
