Why can't you refreeze meat that has thawed?!

I work in food supply ,,, Temperature is the main ingredient of bacterial growth
When frozen raw meat has bacteria that grows but slowly it is retarded by the temperature !.!.!. Cooked mest has bacteria also but the majority has benn destroyed by the cooking process !.!.!.!. Cooked meat can have its temperature changed and the bacteria doesnt grow so quickly !.!.!. that is why raw frozen maet has experation dates and cooked frozen meat lqasts longer !.!.!.
then there is the different types of meat
pork ,, dont play with that,!.!.!.chicken not as bad but watch it !.!.!. Beef a little more relaxed , and fish watch out especially shellfish ,,!.!.!. NEVER mix meats that are raw
nevr use the same cooking pan for two meats like chicken and pork !?!!! BAD idea
Never allow two different types of meat or fish to have contact before cooking !.!.!. If that happens throw it out The only way to refreeze raw meat is !.!. IT has to have been thawed in a refrigderated environment at less than ,, OH Ill say 35 degrees that would be as far as I would go but then you CANNOT refeeze it again but I wouldnt even try thatWww@FoodAQ@Com

The reason why you can't refreeze meat after being thawed is because once the meat has been thawed bacteria tends to develop!. If you leave the meat to thaw out completely then it should be cooked immediately to avoid the bacteria to continue to reproduce!. If you refreeze it you will freeze the bacteria that has been produced!. So when you thaw out your meat again it will produce more bacteria than the first time because now the bacteria that has been frozen starts reproducing more rapidly is dangerous because if too much bacteria is produce then it can't be killed if the meat is cooked and it might contain e-coli or salmonella or other dangerous food toxins that can harm your health!. So i would suggest that instead of refreezing it's best to throw it out!. Hope this makes sense and that it helps!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Well for one thing it increases the chance of freezer burn and it's just not healthy!. Once meat has thawed it is best to cook it so bacteria doesn't form!. If you don't cook it immediately then at least refrigerate it so it stays cool!. But it's only good for one day like that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Each time you do the bacteria count gets higher; when you thaw the meat you froze the bacteria count will go still higher!. Not good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
