Do you feel that protein is what's most important and not meat?!

Question: Do you feel that protein is what's most important and not meat!?
Meaning that you really don't "have" to consume meat just as long as you're able to maintain healthy protein levels!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
What is most important in meat is B-12!. You cannot adsorb it from vegetable sources proven by a study done in Cambridge!. You can get it from eggs, milk and cheese though!. Protein is important too so make sure you get a serving a day it doesn't take much!. Blessed be!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it's not a 'feel' thing!. It is a requirement for the body to have protein (meat is just one of several good sources)!.
The body needs a healthy variety/balance of the following macronutrients: protein, carbohydrates, and fats!. As long as one finds the recommended daily amount of each of those from healthy sources, it's ok!.
Micronutrients required come from a variety of sources as well (vitamins and minerals)
For the discussion of vegetarianism, things like B12 are required through supplementation, as, even though the body can store up to 5 years worth of B12, a deficiency can eventually develop!. There are other non-meat/dairy sources of B12 for instance, in sea vegetables (kelp/nori etc) and soy products!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Most definitely!. (I don't actually consider protein AS important as people think, but it's important enough that you need it!. Meat is not!.)

And, as the posters above me pointed out, you have to remember B-12 and iron!. I actually can't become vegetarian because of iron (I'm anemic, and every supplement I've tried makes me ill!.) In summer it's a bit better because watermelon has fairly high levels, but there are few vegetables that will provide the daily requirement for an anemic!.

However, assuming your current iron levels are sufficient, you should be fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Another thing you have to consider if you're changing your source of protein from animal to plant is your iron intake!. If you went the vegan or vegetarian route, you'd have to augment your iron intake with supplements or consume foods with high iron levels (i!.e!. soybean, enriched wheat, etc!.)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Everything we need can be acquired from NON-ANIMAL sources!. Anyone who says otherwise is regurgitating the nonsense fed to us by industries who have an interest in us dumping our money on animal products!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
