Are tomato skins indigestable?!
my girlfriend says her guinea pig got sick from eating too many tomato skins!.

Yes, they are digestible, however, your body probably will have a tougher time with tomato skins compared to other foods!. It definitely isn't bad to eat them!. For me, I had my colon removed several months ago and now find the skins in the toilet undigested, but it does not make me feel bad after I eat them and as long as they get through, it is perfectly fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I know that for people with digestive problems, they can't eat the skins!. My grandmother had some type of condition (sorry can't remember what it's called) but she had trouble digesting them!. I think it's kinda like corn!.!.!.I don't think the body breaks it all the way down either when we eat the kernels as they are!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
