Question: Why do many cultures leave the head on the pig when they cook/eat it!?
I find it hard to eat meat if I visualize the living animal!. Why then, do some peoples (Hawaiian ie) leave the head on the pig when they serve it !?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Because the head is edible!.
In fact many Michelin star chefs cook pig heads as a specialty dish!.

Because in many countries/locations food is scarce and not as available as it is in the USA!. They aren't wasteful and use/eat every part of the animal!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it's their culture/tradition!. We don't set standards on how to live for everyone else ya know!. we do what we do they do what they doWww@FoodAQ@Com

I dunno!.
My family usually has a full lechon (( roasted pig )) at our family parties!. One of the families will take home the pig head to eat it!. >___>;Www@FoodAQ@Com
