Answers:
Yes you probably do have an addiction and there are only two ways to quit!. One is to stop cold turkey and the other is to slowly move away from sugar and into eating something healthy!.
There are many factors to address but the main thing is to start eating healthy!. As you start eating right your body will slowly change and the desire for sweets will leave!. Most people who are addicted to sugars and carbs have a lack of protein in their diet and lack the proper minerals in their system!. I would suggest reading up on addictions!. Sugar can be as bad as other drugs and some people have withdraw affects for the first 20 days!. After that they start feeling much better than they ever have!. Eliminating all sugars from your diet will increase overall health greatly!.
How to do it:
1!. Start with eliminating obvious sugars such as soda and candy!. This means to avoid the fake sugars as well, such as Splenda which can kill you, aspartamine, nutrisweet, etc!. When you need a snack have a veggie, fruit, or some meat!.
2!. Drink your water!. It helps clean out the toxins and assists your body in getting rid of the cravings!.
3!. Exercise!. This also gets rid of toxins and gives your body more of what it needs!.
4!. Keep your mind focused on projects and tasks, most people eat the sugar stuff when they have nothing to do like watching tv, sitting around, etc!.
5!. Find someone that can help keep you motivated and help you find alternatives to sugar!.
6!.Start eating veggies and get some good quality protein, fruit can be a snack but it is also mostly sugar so its best not to eat fruit!.
7!. Keep a journal of everything you eat, this will help give some perspective of when and how much!.
8!. Don't have sugar and sugary snacks in the house!. Make it difficult to get sweets, easy to get greens!.
9!. Learn about hidden sugars in your diet, learn to read labels!. Almost everything processed has sugar which is one cause of disease!.
10!. Slowly, or quickly, eliminate all types of sugars and refined carbs!. Carbs breakdown into glucose, the more refined and processed, the quicker it turns to glucose!. Excess glucose gets stored as fat!. (That's right, fat doesn't make you fat, sugar does)!.
There is much information I could give you but there is not enough room here!. The main thing to do is change your diet to eating protein, green veggies, and water!. Avoid anything processed!. Depending on your personal chemistry the cravings may go away in a few days, others it takes a few months!. Whenever you start cravings sweets remember it is because of a lack of nutrients!. When your body gets the proper nutrients, it will no longer crave sweets, or anything actually!.
Overall you need to make the decision to change!. When you do it becomes easier!. Yes at first it can be a challenge but it can be done!. If you need additional help find a trainer to help!.

First of I am a addicted to sugar/sweets myself!
Teeth: If you are worried about your teeth then right after you have a sugary snack brush your teeth!
Body & Health: If you are worried about that your health then you should workout this doesn't mean do 1,000,000 push-ups it just means maybe run a mile or play a sport you like!.
If none of those work then just don't eat it! Say NO to yourself!Www@FoodAQ@Com

My husband has the same problem so I put us on the South Beach Diet!. After two weeks he no longer craves the sugar!. Yesterday he was craving a hard boiled egg!! For him that is amazing!. You can purchase the book from Amazon!.com or at a book store, pretty much anywhere!. You can also find a lot of free information online by typing "South Beach Diet" into the search bar!. I would seriously give it a try because eventually your sugar cravings are going to impact your health in a very negative way that can include diabetes and obesity!. I also noticed that since he's been off of the sugar he's had a personality change for the better!. He is much calmer and feels better!. Way less crabby! I highly recommend the South Beach Diet!. also, I frequent a web-site called Hungry Girl!. She has wonderful ideas for healthy food swaps!. I will include a link!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
You should go on the South Beach Diet!.!. it worked for me!.
I did it not to lose weight (although its an added benefit), but to avoid a life that could lead me on a path to diabetes!.
Seriously, go buy the book or get it at the library!. The first 2 weeks, no sugar in any form except Splenda!.
It really helped me, eventually when I got the Phase III (the diet has 3 phases) I could walk by the cookies in the cookie aisle and not flinch!. Plus it really helps you eat healthy, good carbs!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
