Tapas menu, what do you know?!
Basically, our teacher has asked us to write an assignment on tapas meals (ie, is there a place for tapas in everyday dining, is it a passing phase, or is it here to stay!?)
I am in need of quotes, observations, experiences, anything!. Tapas are "small plates" in Spain!. They consist of smaller portions of food that are to be shared between those at a meal!.

Part of the experience is being able to leisurely enjoy your food and by sharing it with others you can talk about the food and by having "small plates" you can order multiple different items and try many things instead of just one thing!. It tends to extend the duration of the meal and makes it a leisurely experience instead of just eating and leaving!. It has a very romantic quality to it because it is a shared experience!.

Another story claims that while on a long trip, King Alfonso had stopped to rest in the town of Ventorillo del Chato in the province of Cádiz, and he ordered a glass of jerez or sherry!. There was a gusty wind, so the inn keeper served him his glass of sherry covered by a slice of ham to prevent the sherry from getting dirty!. King Alfonso apparently liked it, and when he asked for a second glass, he requested another tapa or “cover” just like the first!.
Whatever the true origin of tapas, prepare one or several, then enjoy them like the Spanish do – with a glass of wine and a relaxed attitude!. ?Ah! Divino… or Divine…
