Question: Doesn't the 1965-1999 study in Japan confirm that Soy products contribute to brain atrophy with aging!?
These days, essentially everything contains soy!. Almost all processed foods, essentially any bread you can find, soups, etc!. It's virtually /impossible/ to avoid having a little soy in your diet - and as such, there is to be expected a lot of controversy surrounding soy itself!. Now, Mercola's well known diatribe against soy products aside, a study conducted in Japan between 1965-1999 correlated tofu intake with exacerbated effects of aging on the brain, quickening atrophy and causing impaired cognitive function!. Is there any credence to be lended to this study!? Should soy containing products be alltogether avoided in elucidation of the conclusion!? I proffess, it has iffy about continuing to eat anything that has soy in it!. What do others think!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Eating too much of anything is bad for you--even tofu!.
also, the coagulation process might contribute to the problem, so it might not be inherent to normally-cooked soy!.

also, those who eat tofu might be more likely to intake certain other foods that cause the problem!.

Of course, the soy could be the problem!. I wouldn't worry too much about it if you don't make it a main course all the time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
