Will a whole coconut go bad? How long will it last unrefrigerated?!

Question: Will a whole coconut go bad!? How long will it last unrefrigerated!?
I bought a whole coconut a while back!.!.!.Maybe a year ago!. Is it safe to eat or should I throw it out without cracking it open!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
coconuts mature even after picking!. some grow sprouts if their shell haven't been damaged!. If it's already 1 year old and you plan to have a coconut tree outside your house, plant it!. But if it have not grown sprouts, throw it away!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Everything goes bad- eventually!. The only thing that does not is honey!. Your coconut is definitely not edible!. If you did decide to brave eating a piece, you would probably find that it doesn't have much (or any!) flavour!. www!.fresh-fruit-daily!.com has lots of information about storing fresh fruit (I know coconut is a seed and not a fruit, but still might be of use to you)

Hope this helped!
