Do you totally change your eating habits when staying in an hotel ?!

Question: Do you totally change your eating habits when staying in an hotel !?
Hi Folks,

I have noticed that many do, perhaps to get as much as possible out of the bill!.

Would they really make bacon, sausages, fried egg, black pudding, baked beans etc each morning at home !?
Complete with grapefruit, cereal, toast !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
I doubt it!.

I have kippers!. I like kippers,

Same happens in the restaurant of an evening!.
Everone having a blow-out!.

I am used to staying in hotels world-wide, and just eat what I would normally eat at home!.

It is the "Butlins Syndrome" > grab everything that looks free !

What do you reckon !?

i think it can depend on how often a person stays away, like you I travel allot so tend to eat much the same as when at home !. If smoked haddock is on the menu for breakfast then that is a real treat ,as it is a bit smelly to keep having it at home!. I often marvel at the heaped plates full that fellow guests have !.I have just returned from a cruise and you visible see people getting bigger as the cruise carries on ,that's one thing I have never done as I think the extra choice means you have the chance to eat the very best not the most you can!. That is not to say I do not like to taste the national dishes one of my favourites is ostrich steak!. happy travels LucyWww@FoodAQ@Com

I do have a "Full English" - usually when doing B & B in an hotel!.
You're right, I would never cook it at home, but it is one of those "treats" to which I look forward when we stay away a night; I'd be the size of a house if I had that every day and my cholesterol would be mile high!. After a starter to the day like that, it is really "Brunch" since we don't bother with lunch later!. I miss out on the sausage and baked beans but like tomato and fried bread!.
Not too bothered about much of an Evening meal, either!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't usually stay in hotels, but when I do!. I will look at the breakfast first!. If they don't provide something I like or want, I will go out and get what I want!. I don't change my mind just because something is provided for me!. If I want pancakes and sausage, then that's what I'm having!. If the hotel has it, fine!. If not, then it's off to some diner to seek my quarry!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Why should I change my eating habit!?
It is hard for a person to change their eating habit!.
Just eat with your ordinary habits!.
No need additional food!.
That's me!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I totally agree!. I like to treat myself and if I get if as room service its even better!. I'm not really a big fan of breakfast!. When it comes to lunch my eyes are bigger than my stomach!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not at all!. Chips with everything!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no i eat like a pig at home and eat like a pig in a hotel :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Oh my gosh!

This question could not have been more appropriate to me :))

I've just spent 4 days in a 4 star hotel, all inclusive, and I just went crazy with the food!. Me and my friends also!. We put on 2-3 kilos in 4 days!!

I don' t know what it is!. Part of it is about the money you've spent and you don't want to 'lose', by not taking advantage of everything that is to it!.

Then, I think I compared everything to going out to restaurants, where you have to pay' 'on the spot', and where you're not always satisfied with the taste and the size of your plate!. Here you can try something, and if you don't like it, then not eat it, and just go get something else!. Or, try something, like it a lot, and want to try a little bit more, like at home!.

It's very appealing to have all that food in front of you, dishes that you don't usually cook at home!.

There's also the opposite of all inclusive, you have a tendency to think that the food is for free (by not paying for it after eating)!. It's like going to a Chinese restaurant where you pay a sum of money, and eat all you can!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
