If one strawberry is moldy in a pack are they all contaminated?!

Question: If one strawberry is moldy in a pack are they all contaminated!?
Answers:
could be, but i've eaten around them, and even trimmed the moldy part off and used the rest of the piece of fruit without problems - maybe i'm just a really healthy country girl, but so long as you don't eat the mold, and wash any possible spores off the rest!. i don't see a problem!. !. just wouldn't serve it to babies or old people, just in case, now that you mention it!. !.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If one is molded, I probably would not eat any of the others!. Strawberries are all picked together right!? So all the berries have been in the container for the same amount of time!. It's your call though, but if I was going to eat them, I would rinse them off first!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

you look sideways at strawberries and they go moldy!. The mold is present on most strawberries and it just a matter of time for it to grow!. Just examine the other ones and eat the ones with no obvious signs of mold!. They will not last the day!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

When you leave that in there they will get contaminated!. But i've eaten strawberries that had a moldy one in it when i REALLY wanted strawberries!. I didn't get sick!. Then again i have a really strong stomache!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

sometimes mould can affect the remainder of the fruit i suggest when you buy fresh strawberries eat them the day as they go soft to quickly!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no Just take the one that is moldy out as well as the one that is was touching and you should be fineWww@FoodAQ@Com

As long as the others are firm, they should be ok!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no, just throw that 1 away and rinse the rest!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
