Question: Can I eat raw salmon that has been frozen before !?
Hi
I usually buy salmon, eat a little and freeze the rest!. I was wondering if ican still eat it raw after unfreezing it or is it too dangerous because of bacterias !?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Only if it was Super Frozen and not just Flash Frozen!.

But, you never really know how many times the store that you purchased the salmon from from has done this, before you actually bought it, so I would not take a chance!.

If you purchased it online and it is Super frozen and you receive it frozen, them you can rest assured that what you have is as fresh as you can get!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it is okay to do that, just do not keep it for more than a day or two in the freezer!.

The more times you freeze it than unfreeze it the more chances of you getting sick increase!.

So after you buy the salmon, cut some, and freeze the rest!.
After 2 days of it being in the freezer do not eat it raw!.

Since you dont freeze 2 times you shouldnt have anything to worry about!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes you can!. If it has been fresh frozen!.

I know that their are a ton of sushi places that cut their fish from frozen!. Do I agree, absolutely not!. Do I think freezing the fish,, thawing in and eating it will ruin the integrity of the fresh fish, of course!. But I've still enjoyed a piece of raw fish that has previously been frozen!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Since this is the second time you're thawing it out, I suggest you don't eat it raw!. It may look and smell fine, don't take a chance, your stomach will pay for it later!. I would add my favorite seasonings, pan sear it or throw it on the grill!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i have done that before and i was fine!Www@FoodAQ@Com
