Basically:

You cut a spaghetti squash in half, and scoop out the seeds and pulp!. Put the cleaned halves face down in a baking pan with about 1 inch of water in it, and bake @375 degrees in the oven for 35-40 minutes or until you can put a fork through it easily!.
Take it out of the oven, out of the baking dish, and let cool on a plate until you can handle it!. (Drain the liquid from baking into the sink!.) When it is cool, use a fork to scoop out the cooked flesh from the rind!. It should come out as long spaghetti-like strands!. Some people like to add a little butter, salt, and pepper to it before adding sauce, but top with the sauce of your choice!.
They are not as chewy as flour noodles, but they are an alternative, especially if you have food allergies like me!.
I don't know, they are an acquired taste, really!. Rachael Ray had a good recipe on her show some time ago with spaghetti squash, thinly sliced cucumber strips, olives and Italian dressing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've personally never made it, but have seen it being made on FoodNetwork many times!. People sustitiure squash for pasta because squash is healthier and has less carbs!.!.!.that's why the hosts for all the really healthy eating shows like Juan Carlos use squash!.
I know that Rachael Ray boils and/or microwaves her squash, but I think the real and traditional way is to bake it!. Take a look at Emeril Lagasse's recipe!.!.it looks great!
