I don't use alot of salt, and as old as the box in my cupboard is (we just purchased a new one after I don't know how many years) - it never lost it's flavour!.!.!.

Now obviously you are asking this question in the context of Jesus who said we are to be the salt of the earth !.!.!.!. etc!.!.!.!.
and what I have to say about that is!.!.!.!.
I don't know about salt, but I know for certain that chewing gum loses it's flavour on the bedpost if you leave it there overnight!.!.!.!.!.!.

if you are using it for cooking (*not adding after) then add it at the end because the heat can make it lose some flavor, so can moisture because it dissolves!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Back in the day when you had to get it from evaporating salt water, it would go bad and stale!.
