Unless making Strogonoff or Steak Diane (for which Dijon is the sine qua non)!. Mustard should always be English and Coleman's is pretty good (although at risk to credibility so is Tesco's - the only good thing they do)!. Starting from Dry powder is a different beast from ready made and needs to be handled with care or risk your sinuses imploding!.
While I love foreign food there is one general rule - foreigner's don't do mustard!. When travelling a tube of Coleman's is essential for survival - particularly in former colonies where food is generally bland muck unless you get fusion or ethnic!.

It's "Simply the Best"!. There is no comparison!. I use the powder in all my cooking and the ready mixed spreading on my sandwiches!. I even used it when I lived abroad and asked for this as a Christmas present!. True British art of flavour!. Carry on Coleman's!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
I use Coleman's as an ingredient!. It is a staple for Mac-n-Cheese, gotta have it for egg rolls, it is a must for BBQ sauce, baked beans!.!.!.!.!.

I prefer a Dijon mustard like Grey Poupon!. As far as I know, Colemans is a decent brand of yellow mustard, and so are the others!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
