Is eating food out of the garbage sick?!

Question: Is eating food out of the garbage sick!?
I came home and pulled an Arby's roast beef out of the garbage and ate it!. It was still wrapped and in the bag!. It was in there for about 2 hours!. Am I now on the same level as a serial killer!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

That's well bad mate!
Serial killers have purpose & function however!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Eating food out of the garbage could possibly make you physically sick!. BUT, wrapped food does not magically become poisonous just by being placed inside your trash can!.

Even if you knowingly ate food that WAS contaminated, while that might show a lack of judgment or personal care, it has absolutely nothing to do with harming another person!. So, I'd say the leap to being "on the same level" as a serial killer is pretty ridiculous!.
BTW Perhaps the person who put the untouched sandwich in the garbage could (in the future) put it in the refrigerator rather than wasting it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well going by official food safety rules, once food is prepared and handed to the customer, it should be eaten within a 4 hour time period, otherwise afterwards it should be reheated to the appropriate temperature or discarded!. This is to kill off any nasty bacteria :)
also, did anything possibly land or spill onto the sandwich that might have contaminated it!? Those are just some things to keep in mind!. I am sure you are fine though! ;)
Just dont tell women you do that!
also, never do that with a public trash can, that would be a definite scary thought!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You did not mention if it was inside garbage or outside garbage!.

From context, it was inside garbage left by family members or roommates!.

If so !.!. then we are at par!. My roomate would throw stuff out that was better than I could cook!!

so once in awhile, about once a month, I fished it out!.

Sounds really bad !.!. but if it was still wrapped, in bag, and nothing nasty that leaked into it !.!. you're golden!.

Nobody's ill or dead yet!.

depends on if you can afford food or not if you cant buy food you gotta eat something, i've done it of corse i was practly living on the street at the time !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. if you just got home and went wonder what is in the garbage after work then you got issuesWww@FoodAQ@Com

That is nasty! You never know if the person before they threw it away opened it and did something to it and made it look fresh and new! I cant wait for you to die! lol!.!.!.just kidding! I hope you dont get sick!Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is bad for your health because someone could have poisned it thats why you shouldnt eat stuff that is not in a store or not cooked by you!. I think it is legal though !.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I wouldn't eat an Arby's roast beef if it had just sat on the counter for 2 hours!. That's gross, dude!Www@FoodAQ@Com

not really i would do the same thing if i was really hungry not a big deeal as long as u dont advertise that u did itWww@FoodAQ@Com

uhhh!.!.!.!.!.!.um!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.whaddu think!?!?!? lolWww@FoodAQ@Com

As long as it wasn't in direct contact with the garbage I say it's fair game and enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com
