Question: American Cheese Spread versus American Cheese Food!?
I'm stuck on the Lunch Meat and Cheese aisle and I see something called Pasteurized Process American Cheese Spread and Pasteurized Process American Cheese Food!. 10 Succulent points to the first one who can tell me the difference and why someone thought it was necessary to make them different! Good luck!. (O_O)

the "spread" probably has some sort of ingredient added to make it easier to spread, or it might just be whipped or something!. Kinda like regular cream cheese and the whipped cream cheese, it is just airier and easier to spread on something like a cracker!. Not sure just guessing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The "Cheese Spread" is easier to smear on crackers and bagels!.
The "Cheese Food" is likely sliced for easier use in sandwiches!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
