Many people do not know this but!.!.!. salt will do the trick!. Lick your hand, pour some salt and lick it off and it should definitely kill the hotness!. It's guaranteed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you could add in some fresh cream or yoghurt or even coconut milk for an immediate solution !. It will taste yum!.But if you don't want the flavour or consistency of the orignal dish changed(and if you have the time)then add in a cut up potatoe or 2 and cook for a while!.Once done, you can toss out the potato and enjoy(the potatos are delicious too as they draw in the spices so they can be eaten as well)

You can't really blame the recipe because the heat in chillis vary greatly!.Even though i love spicy and hot food I always decrease the amount of chili AND other spices asked for in recipes as quite often they are overpowering! You can always serve the meal with extra chopped chilis, chilli sauce or pickles if you need to up the heat - much safer this way!!!
good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

if you are asking what I think then :

take the meat and vegs and put them in a colander
and rinse with cold water well meanwhile in
the crockpot or stewpot, put one can tomato
soup or tomato juice with 1/2 can water
and add rinsed meat and vegs
this really might help
and how did I come up with this you ask
I made a stew recently that I seasoned way too much
and it was simply awful and I could not afford to toss
out all that beef so someone here on told me to
rinse it and it worked!.
good luck

oh and when you have spicy food and need to take
the taste out is SOUR CREAM I was in Mexico

was given sour cream immediately and it worked!.

rice is good - especially coconut rice, it has a milding effect!.

Milk and yoghurt also help - you might be able to stir some greek or natural yoghurt through the stew before you serve it!.

Bread can also help to sooth the mouth!.

Water won't do much to stop the heat in it, so avoid drinking water while eating it - milk is one of the best options as a drink!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

eat a piece of bread ( just NOT jalepeno bread or any kind of spicy bread) it doesn't really matter what kind of bread it is!. if you can't/don't eat bread drink milk :) either one works!. hope this helps !Www@FoodAQ@Com
