Answers:
May 14 is the sell by date, which in theory means that it should be good for 4-7 days *after you open* it if you open it on or before May 14!. So if it's already been opened for a week by time the date comes around, it's probably already over!. As the previous person said, if it smells fine and tastes fine, it is fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

May 14 is the expiration date!. That is the day the milk is outdated or old!. If you think it still tastes & smells good after that date, then by all means--drink it!. Sour milk does not hurt anyone, after all they make yogurt, cottage cheese, and buttermilk right!? I personally don't care for the taste of outdated milk though!.
The sell by date is also the expiration date!. I've opened more than enough cartons of milk on the sell by date to find that it was old tasting!Www@FoodAQ@Com

its not the expiration date it the sell by date, and it just depends on if its been open or not, but usually around 10 days!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Speaking from experience, milk tends to be bad, or at least more foul smelling, by 2-5 days after the date!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If it isn't sour, it's still good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes, go by smell!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If it has been kept really cool for all that time!.!.!. I would say two days past expiry!.!.!.!. Just give it a sniff!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

are u really asking this, if the date is up, smell IT !!!!!!! you chose if you want to drink it or notWww@FoodAQ@Com
