Question: How long is cooked elbow macaroni (nothing on it)good for in fridge!?
this is about a week old!.!.no sauce, butter,etc!. just boiled and refridgerated!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Starch bacteria tends to develop more quickly than most people would expect!. If the pasta was cooked and cooled properly, it will safely keep for aprx!. 5 days!. Proper cooling entails being sure that the cooked pasta is completely cooled to room temperature before being put in to an airtight container, and refrigerated!. Putting the pasta in to a container and refrigerating while it is still warm is how the bacteria will develop more quickly!.!.!.!.it's in that in between temperature, while the outer molecules are cooled, but in the inner molecules are still hot, where the bacteria like to exist!. Generally 3-5 days!. Week-old pasta won't hurt you but might taste/smell a little off!.
