Answers:
If I am not mistaken, they are all pretty much used in the same manner!. Not much difference!.!.!.!."Weiner" (pronounced: Vee-ner" ) is the German origin!. "Hot Dog" is said to be of American orgin!. Supposedly it was derived from the vendor shouting!.!.!."Get your Red Hots"!. They looked kind of like a Daschund Dog!.!.!.a cartoon was draw depicting the Red Hot to be a "dog" !.!.!.hence the name Hot Dog!. Legend has it that they were sold in front of dormitories (Ivy League back in the day: Harvard, Yale) and the sarcastic students would call them "dogs" because they were so cheap and you never saw "stray dogs" running around campus!. And I belive that "Frank" was used as a nickname from the German town of "Frankfurt" where these particular sausages were created and then recreated when the German immigrants arrived here in the U!.S!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
weiners were originally made of beef and pork sausage
hot dogs were originated in Germany where they were called
franks!. They both were supposed to contain only beef sausage!.
However, today, most hot dogs and variations are made with poultry due to the low cost!. Pork and beef are also commonly used!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
