How is this idea for the express line?!
I hate when people go to the express lane with a cart full of things like 40 + items!. Wouldn't it be great if the register stopped at the limit for that lane, making you make some form of payment for the first say 20!. Then the next batch could be rung up!. And so on!. Maybe people would pay more attention to express lane item limits!.
Don't get me wrong I have miscounted a few times myself and after a time or so of this system I would be more careful!.
What do you think of my idea!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

You should start working on a new register system that could do this - you deserve a patent!
Seriously, this sounds like a wonderful idea!. And, since cash registers (or point of sale machines) are computers anyway, why could they not be programmed to stop after a specific number of items!? I might not be a computer whiz, but probably all it would take would be a special program!.
And you're right - if enough people kept having to pay for part of their groceries, they would probably stop clogging up the express checkout line!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well i dont know if this is what you mean, but do you mean like, after 20 items being scanned, it stops scanninguntil they have paid for that lot, then they have to go back in line!? Or at least it alerts the check-ot chick that more than 20 items have been scanned!?
Yeah that would be good =]Www@FoodAQ@Com

how about this the stores should eliminate 20 item lanes and turn 15 item lanes into 5 item lanes then there would be more regular lanes for us real shoppersWww@FoodAQ@Com
Pretty good idea, but I doubt retailers want to turn away a shopper with a cart full!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I like your idea!. Though, I think that stores ought to have a cue system and then we all would be taken in order!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Great Idea!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Annoying it would be but I think it may be a good suggestion!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
GREAT IDEA!.!.!.maybe people would think twice if they had to pay twice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
thinking about it that just makes the situation worst!.
lets think about the scenerio!. an old lady or man goes in the express lane with 25 items and the limit is 15!. that mean she/he will fumble with coupons, cash or heaven forbid they need to write a check twice!!! or there is price check on both halves!. you are talking about a possible long wait in the check out lane!!
a neat idea would be for the items to be scanned as they enter the buggy!. so when you get to the register you hand the the portable scan device to the cashier and you pay and bag!Www@FoodAQ@Com
