What should I do about my school's food?!

Question: What should I do about my school's food!?
The food at my school is SO unhealthy!! French fries, pizza, tater tots, hamburgers is what they sell!. Then on top of that they usually sell doughnuts and ice cream and fresh pizza after school!. Of course it TASTES good, but it's just plain unhealthy and teaching our generation bad habits! Now I can't complain to my school about this, because it's a county-issued lunch!. My county has to pay attnetion to this issue, it is the cause of child obesity!. But what do I do!? I want to take action!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

See if you can contact the 'DEPT OF PUBLIC HEALTH' in your state!.!.!.schools are supposed to serve HEALTHY food !!Www@FoodAQ@Com

This happened in the UK, untill a celebrity chef launched a TV show, in which he went into a UK school, taught the cooks how to prepare easy made healthy meals

After seeing what a success it was, people vollied the government to make school lunches healthier, The government made it illegal to sell any processed in schools!.

Although this may not work in the USA, as in the UK the goverment is scared of the people it governs, but i hear in the US, the people are scared of the goverment!.

so if the stereotypes are anything to go by, petitioning may result in a flower truck parked outside and a sudden disapearenceWww@FoodAQ@Com

now that i see that there really is no loop hole, you should read through the fine print, maybe get some kids to run a campiagn, i'm pretty sure some people have the same thoughts on this situation as you do!. make others sign a petition, as long as you get enough people agreeing with you, your principle would have no choice but to schedule a board staff meeting about the foods at your school!. try that and see where it goes, trust me, i'm going through the same arguementWww@FoodAQ@Com

just complain, but if it doesn't help, just pack up your own lunch!. hope this helps! X3Www@FoodAQ@Com
