Thawed packaged tofu...details inside?!
Ok, so I accidentally though my tofu in the freezer!.
It was frozen solid, now it's been in the fridge for a week or so!.
It's not expired & the package is still sealed, is it safe to eat!?
Or do you think germs have grown since they went though the temperature change & then it sat in the fridge for a week!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's fine!. On thing you should know!.!.!.once you freeze tofu, it becomes like a sponge!.!.!.the texture is definitely different!. It tastes exactly the same, but it doesn't feel like tofu in oyur mouth anymore!. Some people love it!.!.!.some people don't!. Personally, I'd take advantage of the new texture and soak it in some marinade, bake it, and eat it with rice!. Yum!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Huh!?
I assume you mean that you accidentally froze your tofu!.
That's fine!.
You froze it, not it has been in the fridge a week!.!.!. well, follow the original expiry date!. If it was due on May 10 and you froze it on May 1, and you thawed it in the fridge on May 10 and now it's May 16, it should be okay!. As long as it didn't get warm at any point!.
You can thaw it in the package by putting it in some hot water or leaving it on the counter for a while or putting it in the fridge to thaw!. The texture of tofu changes when frozen!.!. it's really neat!.!.!. make a spongy texture -- you can literally squeeze the water lout like you would a sponge!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
