in the UK we call "chips" crisps!. Crisps is the American version!.!.!.!. but they're exactly the same! i think in europe they have lays, as well as in the USA!. we have the same sort of thing but ours are called walkers, we call them crisps and you guys call them chips!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

In terms of the US manufacturers chips are sliced potatoes like Lays!. Crisps are extruded potato mash like Pringles!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
