Why change from Snickers to Marathon?!

Question: Why change from Snickers to Marathon!?
they changed the Marathon choc bar about 10yrs ago, now ive heard theyre changing the name back to Marathon - whats that sll about!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
It was all to do with globalization - Marathon was called 'snickers' in America and some other countries, and it's cheaper to print Xmillion wrappers the same than it is to do different ones!. (Same principle applies to cars [VW Golf, Seat Leon, Audi A3, VW New Beetle etc etc all the same underneath] and loads of other things)!.
We look around and it seems like we have lots of choice, but under the surface we're all being duped!
Now it seems someone's decided that Marathon was a better name after all (only took 'em 10 years, eh!?) and so the name's changing back!.
Gets them some publicity thoughWww@FoodAQ@Com

Because it was known as Snickers in the US and Europe,,and just Marathon in the UK so they did a global harmonising and now we have to eat Snickers,,childish I know but it sounds like nickers and therefore has a comical name,,Www@FoodAQ@Com

Same way that they braught back Wispa and starburst are turning back to opal fruits- nostalgia sells!.
Changing the name back gets the brand in the newspapers=more sales!.
