In Britain, if a 'cookie' is a 'biscuit,' what's a biscuit called?!

Question: In Britain, if a 'cookie' is a 'biscuit,' what's a biscuit called!?
Answers:
Some people seem to be misunderstanding the question!.
Guess it depends where you are from!.
In the US we have cookies!. Cookies are sweet and somewhat to very hard, usually flat-ish!. Like chocolate chip cookie!.
We also have biscuits, which are usually salty and buttery, very soft, somewhat flaky to very flaky and rise a lot during baking!. They are used with breakfast, sausage gravy, or in the south to sop up meal liquids, such as the liquid off of greens!.

The UK calls our cookies "biscuits", whereas here biscuits are obviously very, very different things!. Cookies are not a "type" of biscuit here!. Cookie is a sweet, biscuit is a type of bread!.

From reading, it seems a British scone is similar to a US biscuit, but not the same thing!. It may to be as close as we can get, as UK does not seem to have US biscuits!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
