I bought a Guava today - I've never seen them fresh before, only in cans!. How do you know if its ripe (it feels hard from the outside) and how do you eat it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Feels hard outside and smell sweet, if feels soft outside smells sweet is too ripe!.

You wash the guava fruit and then slice it into quarters!. If you want you can also dip some into salt!. You can tell that a guava is ripe ( if it's not canned) by smelling it!. If it smells overly sweet that is too ripe!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
