How do I know if a dented can is safe?!


Question: How do I know if a dented can is safe!?
I have a dented can of olives here!.!.!.my only can!. It has a thumb size dent in the side but the metal isn't punctured!. How do I know if it's safe to eat!? Botulism makes the can bow outwards right!?
Should I eat it!? Or leave my pizza unadorned!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If the inside of the can is not tarnished or rusted it should be fine!. Most likely if it were bad it would have a leak in it!. If all the juice is there eat away!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If the olives look good and smell good and the can is not bulging or rusted, should be okay!Www@FoodAQ@Com

If the dent is around the top or the bottom by the seal then pitch them, but if not you should be fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
