Question: We go the lake every memorial day and spend the day on the boat!. I need food ideas for 3 adults!.!?
We usually way overpack our coolers!. I would like ideas on sandwiches/snacks that I can prepare ahead of time and avoid all of the extra condiments, etc!. Thanks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com


Answers:
Pack some things like Pimento Cheese sandwhiches and Fried Chicken in the cooler!. They require no condiments, and you can just use a napkin!. also take some Pringles - I say this, because the can will help keep water/humidity away from the chips, and keep them fresher!. also, some watermelon chunks or strawberries are good!.

Make a bunch of granola yourself!. Mix Cheerios craisins, peanut butter or chocolate chips, almonds, walnuts, dried fruit, popcorn!. This weighs practically nothing and is super filling plus it can last all day!. Make sandwiches in pitas so they are easy to eat and fill with sprouts, cucumbers, deli meats and cheeses that you enjoy!. You can also put dabs of mustard/BBQ sauce in them instead of mayo that can go bad!. Sliced veggies like carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, peppers and celery go a long way and are also super tasty and full of water to help col you down while you are out on a boat in the sun!.
