Anything preserved in brine is technically pickled!. Some pickled foods, notably pickled cucumbers and pickled beets, are often diced fine and used to make relishes or fillings!. The filling maybe referred to as 'pickle' for short; you'd need a Brit to tell you what's actually in it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
