Making riceballs/onigiri?!

Question: Making riceballs/onigiri!?
Do you need to use special rice to make rieballs!.!.!.I really want to make them but I'm not sure if normal rice would work, or should I just stick to sushi rice!? Or is their something I can add to normal rice to make them stick!?

Do any mainstream shops (n the UK) sell sushi rice and seaweed anyway!? I know some shops that do but they're quite far away for me =[!.

You need to use either sweet rice (basically sticky rice, it's not sweet) or sushi rice!. If you don't use that type of rice, the onigiri won't keep their shape!.
You also need a mold!.
As for where to buy the items you need, I have no idea!. I live in the U!.S!.

Tuna is a nice filling!. A little pepper, some lemon juice and just a tiny bit of mayonaisse is delicious!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've never made them myself, but I think sushi rice would work!.

As for fillings, try salmon!. I had some salmon onigiri's once, and they were amazing! Just make sure to use fresh or frozen salmon filets, not the canned stuff!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sushi rice is fine; you want a short-grain rice that is sticky!. Here's a video showing how to make onigiri with tuna filling!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
