Sun tea and bacteria? What's your opinion?!

Question: Sun tea and bacteria!? What's your opinion!?
Answers:
I don't like the sun tea thing for that reason!. I prefer to brew my tea and then refrigerate it for iced tea!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Since the tea is only brewing in the sun for a day it shouldn't be an issue!. It is perfectly safe!. It would only be an issue if it contained something like raw eggs, or chicken, or anything else that can't be left out in the heat!. Sun tea is just water with a tea bag sitting in it!. Now if you left it out for weeks on end that might be an issue!. However, if you are that concerned why not just brew the tea the old fashioned way with boiling water and be done with it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I grew up in southern Arizona, where everybody made sun tea several times a week, everybody drank their own and other household's sun tea, and nobody seemed to get sick from it!.

I think that those whose immune system is compromised by old age, infancy, AIDS, leukemia, lupus, etc!. should avoid it, but the rest of us healthy people need not worry!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

dont bacteria die in hot things!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
