Question: Healthy vs Junk!?
Why is it that in vending machines ect healthy foods are almost ALWAYS more expensive than junk food!? I thought we were a health promoting country bla bla bla (i stay in scotland, UK)!. So why the hell are we trying to fight obesity when the prices are out of this world!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I totally agree with you!.
I think its because the 'Healthy' food markets are less affluent than the junk food markets!.
also, healthy foods like apples are harder to store and preserve unlike junk food, and thus must be sold instantly at a higher price!. It has a lower shelf life!.
Its obvious that, if more people buy a certain product e!.g!. junk, it will become cheaper in the future!.
Since the purchase of healthy foods is very low, the prices are much higher due to the fact that the market want to make a greater profit!.

its because the world doesnt care if your fat they jusat want ur money
so they put healthy foods at a higher price so you will buy the cheaper so stuff which is junk that will cause you to gain weight
which could then led up to you getting addicted to it!.

One of the reasons junk foods are so mass produced is that they are very cheap to produce and store!. Fresh, "real" foods are more expensive from the start!. Even raisins!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Stability!.

A candy bar or asack of chips have lots or preservatives, so they can hang around for a while!.
