Why does a Vlassic kosher pickle crunch so loudly?!
I am serious!. do they use a special pickle treatment, chemical or what, I don't know but they sure crunch loudly!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I assume that Vlasic does the same thing that a home canning would to make pickles crunchy!. The cucumbers are first cooled in ice water, then drained and covered with boiling vinegar and spices!. The fast temperature change from ice cold to boiling hot makes the pickles very crunchy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Not exactly sure!. I think they pickle the cucumbers in the cold rather than boiling them which makes them rubbery!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
