Toaster mystery?!

Question: Toaster mystery!?
Why is it that when you go to toast only one piece of bread, the toaster has little arrows instructing you to use a certain side!? Does it really matter!? Or did toaster companies come up with these instructions to eliminate the agonizing choice toaster owners must make when toasting only one slice of bread!? What happens if you use the wrong side!? Is one side more dominant!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
When you tell the toaster that you only want to toast one slice of bread, it doesn't turn the other side (that isn't needed) on!. It only uses 2 heaters, one for each side of the bread you are going to slice!. If you were to put your bread on the opposite side, only one side would come out toasted!. Hope that makes sense!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

That is most likely the side that contains the temperature control that times the toaster for proper use!. If you use the other side, I think it will be a shorter time and it will not toast the bread as dark!. try it and see what happens!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have never seen a toaster that tells you to only use one side over the other!. Sounds to me like you have yourself a weird toaster! But either way, it wouldnt matter which side you use, maybe they are just trying to dumb it down!. -AlanWww@FoodAQ@Com

It's so that both heating elements aren't burning for just one slice of toast!. If both elements are burning, then throw caution to the wind and use whichever slot you like!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I can see the doneness of the toast through a little window that's on the side where the arrows are pointing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you must have a expensive new toaster or something cause my toaster doesnt do thatWww@FoodAQ@Com
