Sending food to Afghanistan?!

Question: Sending food to Afghanistan!?
I"m sending packages in a few days and need some more ideas on what food I can send, that last and wont go bad!.
I already have several flavors of beef jerky, banana chips, coffee, candies, cookies, gum and powdered drink-mix!.
I always seem to send the same things in the food-packages and would appreciate any additional ideas!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

We send packages all the time!. Trust me, they love getting the same stuff with an occasional surprise!. They pick favorites and look forward to getting "their part of the package!." (We know because my brother is in the Marines!. They were home for awhile, and we spoke to some of the guys who got our packages because they went to my brother's wedding!. They were SO grateful!) My Mom used to include things like ho hos, Twinkies, potato chips, slim Jim's, cheese cracker sandwiches, etc etc!. Yeah they would get crushed sometimes, but they loved the comfort food! Try sending Easy Mac!. Sometimes they can get ahold of boiling water to make it!. Try to get ahold of older comfort foods like Moon Pies!. I dunno if you send more than just food, but we send out little stupid games that you can get from the Dollar Store!. They usually have cheap checker games and cards!. (You don't want to get anything too fancy, they usually dump it at the end of the night/day as they move on!.)

Edit: I know the feeling!. But don't worry!.!.!. they ARE happy to get all the junk food!. They also love getting letters!. From anyone and everyone!. Don't be afraid to write some letters to some of the guys and girls out there! If you want to send stuff that could be like a real meal (it will be a bit more expensive due to weight) send canned veggies, speghettios, canned fruit (like fruit cocktails), etc etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
